A task force has been formed to work on a statewide fatherhood initiative. The purpose of the group is identifying ways to engage fathers in the early childhood education of their children. The Task Force will identify resources and activities to improve fatherhood engagement in the state of Arkansas.
The officers for the task force are:
Chair: Ivory Daniels
Co-Chair: Cecil McDonald
Secretary: Jackie Hale
Treasurer: Ava Coleman
Parliamentarian: Robert Ousley
Historian: Anarella Cellitti
Advisor: Jackie Govan
The statewide fatherhood training with Sidney Moncrief and the Moncrief One Team was very successful! We trained over 150 participants on engaging fathers, finance, self-regulation, and much more in five locations across the state.
The fatherhood team will identify a "Fantastic Father" in the State of Arkansas each quarter. A fantastic father is one who engages in their child's education and life from birth to adulthood. Are you that Fantastic Father?
They are working to create a statewide fatherhood mentoring program. Stay tuned for further information.
