The Arkansas Head Start Association is a nonprofit organization representing the Head Start community in Arkansas. The AHSA is governed by a Board of Directors which includes members from four classes: Directors, Parents, Staff, and Friends.

The Head Start State Collaboration Offices were created by the federal government to give a visible presence for Head Start at the state level. The Arkansas Head Start State Collaboration Office was created in 1996. Ann Patterson serves as the Collaboration Director for the Arkansas Head Start State Collaboration Office.
